1 Phuentsholing
Arrive at Phuentsholing (Bhutan) by road from
the Indian region of Darjeeling, Gangtok and Kalimpong.
Night halt: Phuentsholing. |

2 Phuentsholing - Thimphu
Drive to Thimphu from Phuentsholing. On the way,
visit Kharbandi Gompa. Lunch at Bunakha.

3 Thimphu
Sightseeing in Thimphu valley for full day
includes: Memorial Stupa, Textile Museum, Folk
Heritage Museum, National Library, Arts School,
Traditional Medicine Institute, Tashichhodzong,
Nunnery, Traditional Handmade Paper Factory and
Handicrafts Emporium.
Night halt: Thimphu. |
Day
4 Thimphu - Paro
Morning drive to Paro. Enroute visit Simtokha
Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang after lunch, then Ta-Dzong
(National Museum), Rinpung Dzong and Paro market.

Day
5 Paro
After breakfast, visit ruins of Drukgyel Dzong,
the fortress of the victorious Drukpas. On the way in
good weather, one can view the sacred Mountain
Jhomolhari, the Goddness of the
mountain.(7,314m). After that drive back to Satsam
Chorten and then hike up to view Taktsang Monastery
(Tiger's Nest) 10,000ft above the sea level.
Close the day by visiting typical Farm House to
experience the daily life of Bhutanese people.
