Arrive
at Paro on
Druk Air flight. Reception on arrival at the airport.
Lunch. Walk through Paro town in the evening.

2 Paro
After
breakfast drive to visit ruins
of Drukgyel Dzong, the fortress of the victorious
Drukpas. On the way in good weather, one can view the
sacred Mountain Jhomolhari the Goddness of the
mountain (7,314m). Drive back to Satsam Chorten and
then hike up to view the Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's
Nest) 10,000ft above the sea level. Finish the day by
visiting typical Farm House to experience the daily
life of Bhutanese people.

3 Paro - Thimphu
Full day excursion to view the Taktsang (Tiger's Nest)
monastery. In the evening drive to capital, Thimphu.

4 Thimphu
Thimphu valley sightseeing for full day which
includes: Memorial Stupa, Textile Museum, Folk
Heritage Meseum, National Library, Arts School,
Traditional Medicine Institute, Tashichhodzong,
Nunnery, Traditional Handmade Paper Factory and
Handicrafts Emporium.

5 Thimphu - Punakha
Morning proceed to Punakha (Winter capital for Monk
Body) across Dochu La pass (3,050 m) with stunning
scenery of the Himalayan ranges. Afternoon visit to
Punakha Dzong.

6 Punakha - Wangdue - Gangtey / Phobjikha
Morning visit Wangdue Phodrang Dzong and proceed to
Gangtey. Evening free or explore the valley of
Phobjikha.

7 Gangtey / Phobjikha - Trongsa
After breakfast visit Gantey Monastery and proceed to
Trongsa across Pele La pass (3,300 m). Enroute visit
Chendebji Chorten.

8 Tongsa - Bumthang
After breakfast visit Ta-Dzong (Watch Tower) and
Trongsa Dzong.
Proceed to Bumthang across Yotong La pass (3,400 m).
Afternoon free or explore the picturesque valley of
Bumthang.

9 Bumthang
Full day sightseeing of Bumthang valley, visit Jakar
Dzong, Jambay Lhakhang, Kurje Monastery and Tamshing
Lhakhang.

10 Bumthang -
Mongar
Early morning drive to Mongar across Thrumseng La
pass (3,800 m). The mountains of eastern Bhutan
can be seen in clear weather.
Evening visit Mongar Dzong.

11 Mongar - Trashigang - Trashiyangtse
Trashiyangtse is famous for its huge white Chorten in
Nepalese style and an old drawbridge covered with
bamboo mats below the small Dzong. Visit To Trashigang
Dzong and town.

12 Trashigang - Bumthang
Return journey.

Return journey.
